This bike has been an amazing trail bike and is the perfect ride for the singletrack in Utah. I put some serious upgrades into the wheelset and hubs and this bike rides better than any bike I've had before. I covered some of the FAQ's and upgrades below!
Why should I buy this bike instead of a different trail bike?
-Lots of reasons: the geometry and 150mm of travel up front let this thing rip down whatever your heart desires. This bike has handled technical climbs, chunky descents, flow trails, and fast steep downhilll. The level link suspension in the rear is smooth as butter and handles any chunk you’re riding over. The short chain stays make this bike super playful and easy to whip around to impress all your friends. The carbon frame lets you look down on all your friends who are still on that alloy train.
Okay but will I look cool?
-Are you kidding me? Look at it. It’s dope. Matte silver and black stanchions? It’s beautiful. Plus, check out those sick wheels I upgraded to. They’re Spank Spike’s Race 33 wheelset. Tough for downhill action and wider than the stock wheels that came from the factory. The bike is also rocking WTB’s Vigilante 2.5 tire in the front and the 2.4 Judge in the back, and those babies hold onto dirt while cornering like you wouldn’t believe.
Will this bike make me a better rider?
-It’s guaranteed +2.3 speed and +6 aerodynamics, so duh and/or hello yes it will.
Here’s the upgrades I’ve made to this thing:
Spank Spike Race 33 wheelset
WTB Vigilante 2.5 front
WTB Judge 2.4 rear
Shimano XD Driver 42 tooth 11-speed cassette
Project 321 hubs- really cannot overstate how awesome these are. I love them.
Let me know if you have any questions, this bike is a blast!
